1. This revisional application has been filed under Sections 442 and 528 of the B.N.S.S., 2023 for expeditious disposal of the proceeding pending before the learned 1st Court of Judicial Magistrate, Barasat in Case No. C1089 of 2024 under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.

2. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the proceeding was filed in the month of July, 2024 and it was fixed for ex parte hearing. However, the ex parte hearing has been vacated and the next date is fixed on 4th March, 2026 for interim hearing.

3. It is submitted that on several occasions, adjournment has been sought for on behalf of the opposite party herein for which the matter could not be proceeded with.

4. Heard the submission, perused the materials on record as well as certified copy of the order-sheet as placed before this Court.

5. On a careful perusal of the entire facts and circumstances and that the date was fixed for interim hearing in the month of March, 2025, which is more than eight months after the date of hearing fixed on 29th July, 2025.

6. It is expected that the learned Magistrate will make all endeavour to dispose of the proceeding and to take hearing of the matter on the date fixed or in case of any such situation within a reasonable period of time without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

7. With this above observation/direction, revisional application stands disposed of.

8. All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

9. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities. (CHAITALI CHATTERJEE (DAS), J.)
