The petitioner was an Assistant Teacher of Udang Girl's High School (H.S.), Amta, Howrah.

The petitioner is alleging that her entire retiral benefits have not been released and for which she has given a representation to the respondent nos. 2 and 4 but the same has not yet been disposed of by the said respondents.

The petitioner is now praying direction of the said respondents for disposal of the said representation. Mr. Giri, learned advocate for the State submits that he has received instruction from his client wherefrom it will appear that except a sum of Rs.42,352/- only being the unpaid pay protection arrear bill, all other retiral benefits have already been disbursed to the petitioner and the said amount can be paid to the petitioner immediately.

The claim of the petitioner in the representation is much higher than the amount suggested by Mr. Giri. Therefore, to ascertain the exact amount of unpaid retiral benefits, the said representation of the petitioner, which is appearing at page '38' of the writ petition, being Annexure 'P-12' needs to be disposed of.

Learned counsel for the parties jointly pray that the respondent no. 2, being the appropriate authority may be directed to dispose of the said representation. W.P.A. 20112 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the respondent no.

to dispose of the said representation of the petitioner in accordance with law by a reasoned order within a period of six months from the date of communication of this order.

The respondent no. 2 shall communicate the order of such disposal to the petitioner.

Petitioner is directed to serve a complete copy of the writ petition along with a copy of this order upon the respondent no. 2.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
