Petitioner submits the value of the cheque in number as well as in words had been altered. On such score, he prayed for sending the cheque for examination by a hand writing expert.

The prayer was turned down by the learned Magistrate as well as the revisional court.

3. I have considered the impugned orders. Signature on the cheque has not been disputed. Plea that the cheque had been interpolated was raised belatedly during examination under Section 313 Cr.P.C.

In this backdrop, I am of the view jurisdictional Magistrate as well as the revisional court had not erred in holding the plea was an afterthought and rejecting the prayer. 5.

Accordingly, the application is dismissed.
