Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner in Court today is taken on record.

The petitioner participated as a sponsored trained candidate in the recruitment process of primary school teachers initiated by the District Primary School Council, Purba Medinipur.

The petitioner submits that she does not have any information with regard to her fate in the said recruitment examination. A representation has been filed by the petitioner on 8th July, 2024.

The petitioner seeks a direction upon the Chairman, District Primary School Council for consideration of the said representation.

Learned advocate representing the Purba Medinipur District Primary School Council has obtained instruction from the Chairman of the said Council signed on 16th August, 2024 which mentions that the written examination was held on 16th December, 2009. Appointment letters were issued to the successful candidates on 3rd March, 2010. The petitioner obtained total score of 51.794 marks whereas the last empanelled candidate in the General Category as that of the petitioner secured 55.906.

The petitioner did not approach the Court within the time limit as specified by the High Court in line with the order passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No.1071 of 2019 in the matter of Amina Khatun Vs. Birbhum District Primary School Council. Upon hearing the parties, it appears that though the petitioner participated in the written examination way back in the year 2009 but thereafter did not take any follow up steps. First representation was filed by the petitioner in July, 2024 seeking to know the fate of her candidature.

It appears that there has been inordinate unexplained delay on the part of the petitioner in approaching the respondent authority and consequently before this Court. The Court is not inclined to condone the delay in taking steps in the matter.

The writ petition cannot be entertained and the same stands dismissed.
