Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a mere middleman in the entire transactions. The petitioner was falsely implicated. The petitioner suffered injuries at the behest of the de facto complainant.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the contents in the case diary including the statement recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

It appears from the statement recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure that transactions of mobile phones in excess of 80 in number are involved. The involvement of the petitioner in the incident cannot be discounted. Given the gravity of the offence and the complicity of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the

petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. 8781 of 2021 is dismissed.
