The petitioner approached the Inspector-in-Charge of the Matia Police Station over a land dispute relating to the respondents encroaching the property of the petitioner, to that effect information was furnished, but the grievance of the petitioner is that no steps were taken by the police authorities. Having considered the representation which has been advanced, I am of the view that the dispute is relating to encroaching of the frontage and terrace of the property. Be that as it may, the subject matter involves civil disputes the petitioner would be well advised to approach the Civil Court for necessary reliefs. The police authorities have at the relevant point of time kept strict vigil. If situation so demands, the police authorities would ensure the upkeep of the law and order.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA No. 20438 of 2024 stands disposed of.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the records. Parties shall act on the basis of server copy of this order duly downloaded from the website of this Hon'ble Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
