Masud Ahmmad Molla Mr. Brijendra Pratap Singh, Ms. Garima Raijada ... for the petitioners.

1. The affidavit of service filed in court today is taken on record. In spite of service of notice, none appears for the respondent.

2. The applicant before the Central Administrative Tribunal, Kolkata (in short 'Tribunal') has raised a grievance regarding his non-consideration in a departmental competitive examination by filing an Original Application being O.A. No.1288 of 2024 which was taken up by the Tribunal on 11.09.2024. The Tribunal was pleased to allow four weeks' time to the present writ petitioners (respondents before the Tribunal) for filing a reply and two weeks' time for rejoinder by the applicant/respondent, if any. A copy of the reply, which the learned counsel for the writ petitioners submits was filed before the Tribunal, is enclosed along with the writ petition.

3. The verification page of the reply reveals that the reply was prepared sometime in December, 2024, i.e. more than three months after the interim order was passed by the Tribunal, which had allowed the respondent four weeks' time for filing reply.

4. The present writ petition has been filed on 20th August, 2025 nearly after 11 months after passing of the interim order in the O.A.

5. Since the matter is pending for consideration before the Tribunal and we do not find any urgency in the conduct of the respondents before the Tribunal in assailing the interim order, as is apparent from the above noted facts; and otherwise also no grounds have been urged to assail the interim order, we are not inclined to entertain the writ petition.

6. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter pending before the Central Administrative Tribunal, Kolkata, we dispose of the writ petition.
