From the report forwarded by the Commission it appears that the vacancies which have been reported before the Commission are being considered in accordance with the date of receipt of the application serially.

The date of receiving the petitioner's application is May 22, 2025 and the vacancies currently available can cater only to the applications received on or before March 12, 2024.

The instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the Commission to recommend the petitioner for appointment as and when vacancies arise by maintaining the serial under the died-in-harness category.
