AGP Mr. Ziaul Haque ... for the State - Respondent(s) The petitioner approached this court with prayer for a direction upon the police authorities to arrest the accused person, namely, Anupam De Kabiraj for impartial and fair investigation in connection with Singur PS Case No. 430 of 2025 dated 07.08.2025.

State has submitted a report which reflects that there are number of cases pending. Initially, the case arose out of a family feud.

However, so far as the investigation relating to aforesaid case is concerned, the police authorities have

collected injury reports, recorded statement of the witnesses; seized the torn wearing apparels and collected evidences to arrest the accused persons, namely, Anupam De Kabiraj.

Having considered that the police authorities have been taking steps but without any result for tracing out the accused person, I direct that the Additional Superintendent of Police and/or Sub-Divisional Police Officer in charge of Singur Police Station would monitor the case and put in efforts for tracing out the accused so that he may be brought within the fold of investigation and/or before the jurisdictional court in seisin of the criminal case.

The police authorities would also oversee that similar incident do not recur as prima facie from the facts it reveals that the petitioner and the accused are known to each other.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 19753 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record. A copy of the report be handed over to the petitioner.
