This is an application alleging violation of an order dated 5th November, 2024.

It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that notwithstanding a direction on the respondent authorities and more particularly the Pradhan being the respondent no. 6, there has been no compliance with the above direction. Significantly, by an order dated 5th November, 2024, this Court has, inter alia, directed as follows: "In view of the admitted and indisputable fact that the illegal and unauthorized construction has been carried out by the private respondent nos. 8 to 11 at the subject premises, the respondent no. 6, being the Pradhan, Chandi Gram Panchayat, is directed to take necessary steps for removal and demolition of the said unauthorized construction in

accordance with Section 23 of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973."

Despite service, the alleged contemnor remains unrepresented.

Mr. Tanweer J. Mondal, Advocate, who usually appears on behalf of State is present in Court and is directed to represent the alleged contemnor.

The appointment of Mr. Mondal be regularized by the Legal Remembrancer. A copy of the application for contempt is served on Mr. Mondal.

Mr. Mondal assures this Court that appropriate communication would be made with the respondent no. 6 i.e., the alleged contemnor to ensure compliance with the order dated 5th November, 2024 positively within four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

In view of the above submissions, the instant application being CPAN 1456 of 2025 in WPA 4112 of 2023 stands disposed of with a direction on the respondent no. 6 i.e., the alleged contemnor is to comply with the order dated 5th November, 2024 positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.
