The records show that the application was made on 19th June, 2020 and received by the District Magistrate on 24th June, 2020. The District Magistrate could not take steps thereafter and the petitioner also decided to wait for more than two years before approaching the writ Court. There is evidently no urgency in the matter for any time bound direction to be passed on the District Magistrate.

WPA 20180 of 2022 is disposed of with a direction on the District Magistrate, Paschim Bardhaman to dispose of the application made by the petitioner within ten weeks from the date of communication of this order. ( Moushumi Bhattacharya, J.)
