IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA
CONSTITUTIONAL WRIT JURISDICTION APPELLATE SIDE W.P.A. No. 20893 of 2021 Jyotirmoy Chakraborty -vs.- The State of West Bengal & Ors.
Mr. Debjit Mukherjee, Ms. Susmita Chatterjee ...for the State Mr. Sharanya Chatterjee ...for the respondent nos. 4 and 5 Mr. P.K. Roy, Mr. Biplob Das ...for the respondent nos. 6 and 7 Mr. Pradyut Saha ...for the respondent no. 11 None appears for the petitioner when the matter is called on for hearing even today, although the respondents are represented through counsel.
It is seen from the records that on previous occasions as well, the petitioner remained unrepresented.
Learned counsel appearing for the respondent no. 11 contends that the writ petition has become infructuous.
However, in the absence of the petitioner, no order on merits can be passed.
In view of repeated absence of the petitioner, W.P.A. No. 20893 of 2021 is dismissed for default without, however, any order as to costs.
