The petitioner complains that her representation dated 19.07.2025 was sent on or about 22.07.2025 to the administrative authorities including the police authorities.

The main accusation which has been leveled in the writ petition is to the effect that the police authorities entered her residence without any lady police personnel and without any search warrant ransacked her house.

The petitioner also complains of being threatened.

The records of the writ petition reflects that at about 3.00 pm, 10 - 12 police personnel from Burdwan Sadar Police Station wearing civil cloths illegally entered the petitioner's residence at Khagragarh without any lady police personnel being available.

The report submitted by the State reflects that one lady Sub-Inspector, Sonia Sharma along with the force of Burdwan Police Station conducted raid at the petitioner's rented house in daylight.

The report also reflects that the raid was lawfully conducted in connection with Katwa PS Case No. 947 of 2023 which relates to a case under the Arms Act and Indian Explosives Act. The raiding team, thereafter, returned to the police station and informed the same by way of a General Diary Entry. The raid was

conducted to secure arrest of the husband and son of the petitioner who are involved in connection with Katwa PS Case No. 947 of 2023 dated 26.09.2023 and are evading the process of law.

It has also been submitted in the report that the antecedents of the husband of the petitioner reflects that he was also involved in connection with a case of Ausgram Police Station which relates to Section 302 of the IPC.

Having considered that the police authorities were in search of absconding accused persons and, subsequently, the said accused persons were arrested, I am of the view that the present writ petition has been preferred for shielding the offenders, as such, no interference is called for.

Accordingly, WPA 19769 of 2025 is dismissed.
