In response to the Rule issued, Mr. Harisadhan Das Adhikary, the erstwhile Chairperson, Board of Administrators, Contai Municipality and Mr. Subal Kumar Manna, Chairperson Contai Municipality are personally present in Court.

A copy of the order dated 28th July, 2022 has been placed before this Court wherefrom it appears that the proceeding under Section 218 of West Bengal Municipal Act, 1993 has been disposed of.

Copy of the said order has duly been served upon the petitioner.

As it appears that the order passed by this Court has been complied with, accordingly, there is no

requirement of proceeding with the contempt application any further.

The contempt application stands disposed of.

The Contempt Rule stands discharged.

The order dated 28th July, 2022 passed by the Board of Councillors, Contai Municipality be retained with the records.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on completion of usual formalities.
