The present writ petition has been filed seeking compensation for the death of the petitioner's husband, who died on 22.04.2018 due to electrocution.

In view of Section 161 of the Electricity Act, 2003, I am not inclined to entertain this writ petition. The petitioner is, however, granted liberty to approach the concerned Chief Electrical Inspector of the State by filing an application in the prescribed form.

If such application is filed, the same shall be considered and disposed of by the Chief Electrical Inspector of the State in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 19805 of 2025 stands disposed of.
