1. Affidavit-in-Reply filed by the petitioner in Court is taken on record.

2. None appears for the respondents.

3. Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the respondent authorities have not taken any decision on the application of the petitioner for resignation from the service of the concerned bank.

4. It appears from the record that the petitioner submitted an application signed by him on 6th February, 2023 and the same was received by the office of the concerned bank on 8th February, 2023. Since, it is submitted that no decision has been communicated to the petitioner on such application, this Court is of the considered view that a direction should be passed upon the appropriate authority of the bank to take a decision on such application and communicate the same to the petitioner.

5. Without entering into the merits of the application for resignation, W.P.A. 19814 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the competent authority of the State Bank of India to take a decision on the application dated 6th February, 2023, which was received by the office of the State Bank of India on 8th February, 2023 by passing a reasoned order, which shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with a copy of the application for resignation, which is appearing at page 18 of the writ petition.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
