Petitioner approached this Court for quashing of the proceedings arising out of Harishchandrapur P.S. Case No. 506 of 2023 dated 02.06.2023 and Harishchandrapur P.S. Case No. 507 of 2023 dated 02.06.2023.

State has submitted a report which reflects that the police authorities at the relevant point of time, took appropriate steps and the accusations against the petitioner was effectively investigated. Having considered that a jurisdictional court is already in seisin of the criminal cases, petitioner would be at liberty to canvass the issues in the present writ petition before the jurisdictional criminal court at the appropriate stage of the proceedings.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 20744 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
