Petitioner approached this Court being aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities. Petitioner presently submits that a case has been registered being Madhyamgram Police Station Case No.578 of 2025 dated 01.08.2025 under the relevant provisions of BNS. Petitioner complains regarding certain steps not being taken by the investigating agency and to that effect furnished representation to the Inspector-in-Charge, Madhyamgram Police Station.

Petitioner is directed to make a similar representation before the investigating officer of the case. The investigating officer of the case will assess

regarding the steps to be taken in aid of the investigation. Consequently, appropriate prayers be advanced either before the learned Magistrate for taking steps or before any expert authority, if any sample is seized by the investigating officer. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 19959 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
