The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of subject Work Education at Byabattarhat Jnanadamoyee Balika Vidyalaya (H.S.), Nandakumar, District - Purba Medinipur, she applied for general transfer through 'Utsashree Portal' on the ground that the distance between her residence and the school since is more than 160 kilometres, she is unable to look after her minor child.

The School Authority has refused to issue required 'No-Objection' to the said prayer of the petitioner on the ground that she is the single teacher of the subject in the school, consequently, the West Bengal Central School Service Commission has rejected the prayer of the petitioner.

Mr. Lahiri, learned advocate for the petitioner strenuously argues that the ground of rejection is not sustainable. Be that as it may, the 'Utsashree Portal' is now under suspension, as such the prayer of the petitioner for general transfer cannot be considered at this stage.

W.P.A. 20214 of 2022 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
