The petitioners in this case presently are working in a project, namely All India Coordinate Research Project (AICRP).

It appears that they made representations before the Vice-Chancellor of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya for their placement in different departments under the university.

It is the grievance of the petitioners that their representations have not yet been considered by the university.

I do not see any justification to keep this writ petition pending and accordingly the same is disposed of with a direction upon the Vice-Chancellor of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya to consider the said representations in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order.

I, however, make it clear that I have not gone into the merit of the representations for transfer made by the petitioners.

The Vice-Chancellor will decide the same in accordance with law without being influenced by this order. If necessary, the Vice-Chancellor shall afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 19824 of 2023 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
