The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of the subject Mathematics (Hons/PG) at Ashokegarh Adarsha Vidyalaya for Boys (H.S.), District24 Parganas(North), he applied for general transfer through the 'Utsashree Portal' on the ground that the distance between his residence and the school since is more than 542 kilometres, he is unable to look after his dependent family members, his such application was rejected from the end of the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Barrackpore, the respondent no. 5 herein on the ground that the petitioner is the single teacher of the subject in the school.

Mr. Lahiri, learned advocate for the petitioner strenuously argues that the ground of rejection is not sustainable. Be that as it may, the 'Utsashree Portal' is now under suspension, as such the prayer of the petitioner for general transfer cannot be considered at this stage.

W.P.A. 20225 of 2022 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
