In this public interest petition the petitioner has raised a grievance that the private respondent is running illegal establishment, namely, "Modina Bekari" over the land situated at R.S. Plot No.17, Mouza - Sinthi, J.L. No.101 within Barasat Municipality, North 24-Parganas.
Having perused the record, we find that the petitioner alone is, all along, raising the grievance against the private respondent. There is no material on record showing that the local residents are facing any inconvenience on account of the alleged running of the establishment by the private respondent. For the personal cause, a PIL cannot be maintained. Even otherwise the issue which the petitioner is raising need
not be the subject matter of a PIL.
Hence, we dismiss the present public interest petition with liberty to the petitioner to approach such other forum or invoke such other remedies as are available in law.
