The Block Development Officer, Ausgram-II Development Block, Amarargarh Purba Bardhaman has forwarded a report dated 22nd August, 2024 which mentions that Kota Mahila Multipurpose Co-Operative Society Limited was registered on 5th February, 2018 by the Assistant Registrar of Co-Operative Societies, Purba Bardhaman-I Range with eight Board members.

The petitioner no.1 herein acted as Secretary of the Society. The petitioner no.2 is not the treasurer as alleged. The petitioner nos. 2 and 3 are not members of the Board.

The petitioner no. 1 has been removed from the post of Secretary by the Board of Director with effect from 25th June, 2024 and, as such, the petitioner no. 1

does not have any right to operate the Bank Account of the Co-Operative Society. The new body which is functioning at present is operating the Bank Account. 4.

On a perusal of the aforesaid instruction, it appears that there is a dispute between the members of the Co-Operative Society. Such dispute cannot be resolved by the writ Court.

It will be open for the aggrieved members to take necessary steps before the competent forum for redressal of their grievances, if so advised. 6.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
