Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in custody for 1 year and 4 months and inspite of such prolonged detention, till date none of the witnesses have been examined.

Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, submits that the evidence will commence on and from 06.01.2026.

Having considered the contentions advanced both by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner and the State, I am of the opinion, at this stage, it will not be fit and proper to release the petitioner on bail.

Accordingly, CRM (M) 1489 of 2025 is dismissed.

Petitioner would renew his prayer for bail after the examination of vulnerable witnesses are over. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
