The petitioner submits that during the pendency of the writ petition, an FIR was registered by the competent police authority. Investigation is going on and the accused persons were arrested. Mr. Banerjee, learned senior standing counsel, submits that the accused persons were released on bail and the investigation is in progress.

Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with an expectation that the investigation shall be concluded in a free, fair and impartial manner.

This court has not gone into the merits of the allegations against the alleged accused persons. It is for the investigating agency to unearth the truth. There shall be no order as to costs.
