Dugar, learned advocate representing the petitioner by placing before this Court an acknowledgement slip issued by the respondents, would submit that the petitioner has already filed an application for settlement of dispute before the appropriate authorities under the provisions of West Bengal Sales Tax (Settlement of Dispute) Act, 1999 which has since been amended by enactment of the West Bengal Sales Tax Settlement of Disputes Act, 2025. Having regard thereto, he prays for leave to withdraw the above writ petition.
2. Mr. Sanyal, learned advocate representing the State does not raise any objection.
3. In view thereof, let the writ petition be dismissed as withdrawn. Although, at this stage, Mr. Dugar would insist that leave is necessary to proceed with the application of settlement of disputes, I am of the view,
WPA 20274 of 2025 having regard to the withdrawal of the writ petition, no such leave is required.
