1. With the consent finally heard.

2. The main grievance highlighted in this PIL is with regard to cancel the liquor licence which was granted in favour of the private respondent for running the business under the name and style Kanisika Restaurant from Plot No.790, Mouza-Karandighi, Khatian No.4829, Post Office-Karandighi, Police Station-Raidighi, J.L. No.112, Block-Mathurapur-II, District-Sundarban Excise District.

3. The petitioner and local villagers made representation before the concerned respondent authorities for taking appropriate steps for closure of the liquor shop, but till date the said representation remained unconsidered.

4. Considering the above, the petitioner is directed to file a fresh comprehensive representation along with copy of this order before the respondent no.3

within a period of fortnight from the date of receipt of server copy of this order.

5. The respondent no.3 shall consider the same by passing a reasoned order by affording an opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties in accordance with law.

6. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of 30 days from the date on which the representation is submitted.

7. It is made clear that if the respondent no.3 finds any irregularity and/or illegality with regard to run the business of liquor shop illegally, the respondent no.3 shall take appropriate steps in accordance with law for demolition of the same.

8. With the aforesaid, this PIL is disposed of without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case.
