Learned advocate for the petitioner has submitted that despite receiving one appointment letter the school is not allowing him to join.

From the documents annexed to the writ application it is found that the recommendation letter was issued by the West Bengal School Service Commission (Western Region) on 20.12.2019. The panel for the said post of clerk expired on 18.05.2019 as has been submitted by the learned advocate for the School Service Commission today.

Hence the recommendation letter and the

consequent appointment letter issued by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education are not valid and illegal. No appointment can be given against invalid and illegal recommendation and appointment letters. Therefore the case has no merit.

Therefore, the writ application is dismissed. (Abhijit Gangopadhyay, J. )
