1. Heard learned Advocates for both the parties.

2. The petitioner says that he is in custody for over two years. There was no recovery from him. He prays for bail.

3. From the material on record we find prima facie incriminating material against the petitioner. In view of the material on record, we are not inclined to entertain the petitioner's prayer for bail which was also rejected by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. Hence, the prayer for bail is rejected.

4. The application being CRM (NDPS) 1291 of 2024 is accordingly dismissed.

5. However, the petitioner is in custody for an appreciable period of time. The trial must be concluded at an early date.

6. Learned Advocate for the State says that six prosecution witnesses remain to be examined.

We direct the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial to the fullest extent possible and conclude the same at an early date but positively by the end of this year, without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties and if necessary, by fixing frequent schedules for examination of witnesses.

8. This order shall be immediately communicated by both the parties to the learned Trial Court.
