Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail.
Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that other co-accused were granted anticipatory bail by the jurisdictional Court.
Learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that the petitioner is a principal accused. She refers to the injury report and the statement recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. She submits that some of the other coaccused are also absconding. Considering the gravity of the offence, materials in the case diary, the nature of injury and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
C.R.M. 8856 of 2021 is dismissed.
