1. Report filed by the State be kept with the records.

2. It does not appear that the delay in progress of trial is attributable to the petitioner. However, huge quantity of contraband item was recovered from the petitioner. In view of the restriction in Section 37 of the NDPS at, we are not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

3. CRM (NDPS) 1293 of 2024 is dismissed.

4. The petitioner is in custody for close to two years. We are told that one witness has been examined in full and another witness has been examined in part. There are 7 witnesses named in the charge-sheet and one witness named in the supplementary charge-sheet.

5. We direct the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial and conclude the same as expeditiously as possible.

6. Let this order be communicated by the parties to the learned Trial Court.
