Report dated 26.08.2025 submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record.

Petitioners have approached this Court as the application for permission for Durga Puja addressed to the Joint Commissioner of Police (H.Q.), Kolkata Police was not reverted back to the petitioners from the said office.

A report has been submitted by the Officerin-Charge, Bansdroni Police Station which records inter alia as follows :

"In this context, it is to fervently submit that Bansdroni PS has no objection against the petitioner for enlistment in the name of Benoy Pally Unnayan Samity, at their scheduled venue subject to the permission from other concerned department including KMC authority."

In view of Bansdroni Police Station having no objection, petitioners would obtain necessary

permission from the concerned department including the KMC authorities for regular compliances required for organising such Durga Puja.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 19917 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
