The writ petitioner is aggrieved due to inaction on the part of the respondent no. 2 in considering his online application for grant of permit dated 22nd February, 2024 along with the e-fee receipt to show submission of the requisite statutory fee by the petitioner, along with the said application.

He is also aggrieved that the subsequent representation by him i.e. dated 7th May, 2024 has also not been considered by the State respondent.

The petitioner's prayer is for grant of permit for stage carriage through the interstate route from Siliguri to Ranchi. Mr. Mukherjee appears for the petitioner and Mr. Deb Roy, for the State.

In view of the innocuous prayer of the petitioner in the present writ petition, it is found proper to dispose of the present case by directing the respondent no. 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 7th May, 2024 as well as his application dated 22nd February, 2024, by dint of a reasoned order.

In doing so, the said respondent shall afford opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and conclude the entire proceedings within a period of eight weeks time from the date of receipt copy of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of.

Since no affidavit-in-opposition has been called for in this case, all allegations made in this writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the concerned respondent. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all formalities. (Rai Chattopadhyay, J.)
