Mantu Barik v. State & ORS.
D/L34 21.06.2024 Bpg.
ct.no.35 W.P.A.16534 of 2012 Mantu Barik
Versus
The State of West Bengal and others Records of the case reflect that the writ petition was listed on 10.08.2012, 09.10.2012 and 04.06.2014. The previous orders so passed do not reflect any directions being passed on the authorities concerned. Prima facie, it reflects that there was dispute relating to land and the grievance of the petitioner was for inaction on the part of the police authorities.
Having considered that the representation was made before the Superintendent of Police, Purba Medinipur and the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Contai on or about 1st June, 2012, I am of the view that with passage of time and no persuasion by the petitioner, there is hardly any scope for this Court to interfere at this belated stage.
However, petitioner would be at liberty to approach the appropriate forum or the concerned authorities in case fresh circumstances surface.
With the aforesaid observations, WPA 16534 of 2012 is disposed of.
Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
