Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated. The petitioner is the landlord of the premises from where the liquor was seized. Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. He submits that the seizure is the largest in terms of quantity of liquor in the State of West Bengal. The petitioner is a director of a company which is engaged in the business of interstate bootlegging of liquor. There are materials in the case diary implicating the petitioner in the seized materials and the offences alleged. Apparently, the petitioner is a director of a company which is engaged in bootlegging liquor on interstate basis. The materials in the case diary suggest requirement of immediate custodial interrogation of the petitioner.

In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 4297 of 2022 is dismissed.
