The petitioner alleges that the distribution company failed and neglected to supply electricity, despite the petitioner having deposited the quotation amount.

Inspection by the authority revealed that a G+4 multistoreyed building with flats, existed and Procedure - B was required to be followed, for first obtaining a common meter. Thereafter, individual meters were to be given to the flat owners. This aspect was informed to the petitioner by a letter dated August 10, 2023.

Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to proceed in accordance with the requirements of the distribution company. The petitioner and the other flat owners may approach the concerned Station Manager for assistance in this regard so that the matter can be

resolved. The authority will guide the petitioner by indicating what course of action could be taken as per the regulations in this regard, so that they are not without electricity for too long.

This cooperation from the authority is necessary and desirable, as the whereabouts of the developer and/or the promoter is not known.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
