The petitioner is directed to add Smt. Chaitali Mondal, the present Superintendent Engineer, Western Circle, PHE Directorate as the alleged contemnor no.3. A report has been filed in Court today, from which it appears that the incumbent in the said office upon whom the rule was served was transferred and as such, the delay occurred in compliance of the order of this Court. However, the process for compensating the petitioner for the land utilized for implementation of the water supply scheme, has been initiated and a proposal along with the file has been sent to the Finance Department for approval on March 15, 2022.

Mr. Sen, learned Assistant Additional Advocate General assures the Court that the grievances of the petitioner will be redressed soon.

Let the matter appear on May 12, 2022 at 2.00 p.m. Compliance in the meantime.
