Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the present writ petition was filed alleging encroachment of PWD Road. During pendency of the writ petition, the petitioners received communication from the Executive Engineer, PWD, Berhampore Division-II dated September 08, 2022 informing them that the road in dispute does not fall within the jurisdiction of the PWD and may be under the jurisdiction of Murshidabad Zilla Parishad. In view of the same, the writ petitioner filed another writ petition being WPA No. 11742 of 2024 before the appropriate Bench seeking remedy.

The petitioner do not intend to proceed with this writ petition any further.

In view of the above, the writ petition being WPA No. 20366 of 2022 is dismissed for non-prosecution. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
