Learned advocate also submits that other accused persons are absconding;

there is no possibility of commencement of the trial; the petitioner is unnecessarily languishing in jail, as such, on any stringent condition the petitioner may be released on bail.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioner has been evading the process of investigation for a considerable period of time and on the basis of execution of the warrant of arrest, he has been taken into custody.

I have considered the quantum of seizure as well as the period of detention and I am of the view that, at this stage, it is not a fit case to release the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

Accordingly, CRM(NDPS) 1070 of 2025 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
