1. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the husband of the victim and has been falsely implicated. It is submitted that they have two sons and the victim committed suicide after 12 years of marriage. She was suspicious in nature.

2. The learned Counsel for the State in opposing the prayer for anticipatory bail has referred to the statement of the father of the victim and the neighbours and also the post-mortem report.

3. Considering the materials available in the case diary, the nature and extent of complicity of the petitioner in the commission of the alleged offence and the statement of the father of the victim and the neighbours which, inter alia, directly implicates the petitioner of physical and mental torture, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.
