Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is a license holder of a Fair Price Shop. His license was terminated on 05.10.2021. The petitioner preferred an appeal before the respondent no. 3 on 01.04.2022. The respondent no. 3 upheld the termination order. Thereafter the petitioner preferred an appeal before the respondent no. 2. But, the same was kept pending. On 10.06.2022 the petitioner made a prayer for early hearing of the said appeal. In the interest of justice the appeal ought to be heard as expeditiously as possible.

Learned senior standing counsel representing the State submits that it could be in the interest of justice if the appeal preferred by the petitioner is disposed of within a stipulated time.

I have heard the learned counsels for the parties and have perused the writ petition.

In view of the fact that the appeal is pending since 29.04.2022, I request the respondent no. 2 to hear out the appeal and decide the same within 3 months from this date after giving adequate opportunity to the interested parties.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
