The petitioner submits that he holds a Stage Carriage permit for route numbers 81 and 81/1 (Barrackpore Fishery Gate to Barasat).

It is further submitted before this Court that the relevant permit expired on 4th July 2022. The petitioner filed an application for the renewal of his permit on 22nd June 2025, which is annexed at page 18 of the writ petition.

The petitioner's grievance is that this application has not been considered by the competent authority.

There appears to be no justification for keeping this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of with the direction that the Secretary of the Regional Transport Authority, North 24-Parganas, shall consider the petitioner's application within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order, in accordance with the law.

Accordingly, WPA 20094 of 2025 stands disposed of.
