The petitioner claims that she has been forcefully thrown out from her house and now she is living with her relatives due to torture by the son and daughter-in-law.

Initially, on a complaint of the petitioner, the Officer-in-Charge, Chinsurah Police Station intervened and issued appropriate warnings to the son and daughter-in-law to resolve the issue amicably.

This Court appreciates the role of the Officerin-Charge, Chinsurah Police Station. However, since the petitioner is residing elsewhere and admittedly is the recorded owner of the property, the Chinsurah Police Station shall escort the petitioner back into her house.

For the aforesaid purpose, the petitioner is directed to report Chinsurah Police Station on Thursday (04.05.2023) at 2 p.m.

The son and daughter-in-law are represented.

They are warned against torturing or intimidating the petitioner.

The Officer-in-Charge, Chinsurah Police Station shall register FIR on the second and third complaint of the petitioner dated 01.08.2022 and 21.03.2023 and keep regular vigil thereat.

It shall be ensured that the petitioner and her husband are able to live in peace in the said premises.
9.
In the event of any further complaint of the petitioner against the private respondents, coercive measures shall be taken against the son and daughter-in-law by the Chinsurah Police.

The investigation into the FIR shall be completed within a period of 45 days from date.
11.
With the aforesaid observation, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.
12.
There shall be no order as to costs.
13.
All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
