The petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of Kolaghat Police Station in respect of a complaint dated 1st August, 2022 against the private respondent, namely, Uttam Samanta.

The petitioner alleges that said Uttam Samanta, who is posted as the Personal Security Officer of the Member of Parliament has obtained Rs.12,00,000/- from the petitioner. On the promise of getting him a Government job.

Kolaghat Police submits that FIR No. 454 of 2022 dated 8th September, 2022 has been registered under Sections 406/420 of the Indian Penal Code and charge-sheet being C.S. No. 585 of 2022 dated 21st December, 2022 under Sections 406/420 of the Indian Penal Code has been filed.

In that view of the matter, there is no inaction on the part of Kolaghat Police Station.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
