Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that trial is in progress.
We have considered the materials on record. Trial is in progress.
Keeping in mind the aforesaid fact and gravity of offence relating to recovery of large number of fire arms, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. Trial court is directed to proceed with the recording of prosecution evidence as expeditiously as possible and conclude the trial at an early date preferably within one year from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
