Petitioner is aggrieved by the manner in which the investigation is progressing in connection with Dum Dum Police Station Case No.70 of 2025 dated 04.03.2025.

State has submitted a report. Report reflects regarding the steps taken by the investigating officer. Prima facie materials are there with the investigating authorities regarding the amount of money being transmitted to the bank account of the respondent no.6.

Learned advocate for the respondent no.6 submits that the private respondent no.6 has already been released on bail.

Be that as it may, since the grievance of the petitioner is with regard to the steps taken by the investigating officer, I am of the view that the investigation has proceeded in consonance with the provisions of law. However, it is directed that since the investigation commenced in the month of March, 2025 and more than 90 days have passed, the petitioner is entitled to receive a progress report. The investigating officer would send the progress report to the de facto complainant/petitioner as early as possible. Further grievance, if any, be addressed by the petitioner before the jurisdictional court. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 20653 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
