Petitioner submits co-accused have been enlarged on bail. There is delay in trial. He renews his bail prayer. 2.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer. He contends eight witnesses have already been examined. 3.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is the principal accused. He does not stand on the same footing with the co-accused who are on bail. Trial has considerably progressed and eight witnesses have already been examined. Offences, if proved, would attract mandatory life imprisonment. 4.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

Trial court is requested to expedite the trial conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
