Petitioner prays for expeditious disposal of the case.

In view of nature of the proceeding we direct Ms. Manisha Sharma, learned Counsel, to appear for the State. Learned Public Prosecutor is directed to regularize her appointment. Copy of the petition is served upon her. 3.

We have examined the materials including the order-sheet. We note charge was framed on 28th June, 2024 and date for recording evidence has been fixed in March, 2025 i.e. almost nine months later. It is expected that recording of evidence is promptly done and criminal case be concluded at an early date.

Accordingly, we direct the trial court to take necessary steps to fix schedules for recording evidence at short intervals and conclude trial at an early date keeping in mind long pendency of the case as well as pendency of other cases before the said court.

Accordingly, the revisional application is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be given to the parties as expeditiously as possible on compliance of all necessary formalities. (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
