Report filed by the State be kept with the record. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that pursuant to a direction passed by a Coordinate Bench, the unauthorized encroachment on the PWD land has been demolished.

Such submission is also not been disputed by the learned advocate for the petitioner. She submits that the petitioner is only pressing prayer 'C' and 'E' of the writ petition.

After going through the relief claimed under paragraphs 'C' and 'E', this Court finds that the petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the investigating agency to expedite the investigation pursuant to the complaints lodged by the petitioner. The learned advocate appearing for the

State files the report of the Inspector-in-Charge, Malda Police Station dated August 27, 2024 wherefrom it appears that on the basis of complaint of the petitioner, an FIR being Malda P.S. Case No. 609 of 2024 dated August 26, 2024 under Sections 329(3)/324(4)/303(2)/351(2)/3(5) of BNS has been registered and the investigation is in progress. Since FIR has been registered and investigation is in progress, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the concerned Investigating Officer to conclude the investigation at the earliest and to take all consequential steps thereupon. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. (Hiranmay Bhattacharyya, J.)
