No one appears on behalf of the private respondents despite service.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the private respondents had made an unauthorised construction on public land in front of the petitioner's land. A representation for removal of such obstruction on public land was made before the concerned authorities, a copy being forwarded to the concerned SubDivisional Officer of Haldia, Purba Medinipur. But, the same has not been responded to.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that representation, if made, will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no.3/Sub-Divisional Officer, Purba Medinipur to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.08.2024 in accordance with law and expeditiously, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

As affidavits were not called for, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
